In today’s session we’re going to talk about size and how to manage the cost of mission.
Size
If this is your first project, first of all, design your rocket as you can without using any computer software. After launched it you can design your own model rocket using computer software. Because practical knowledge is most important. Your first rocket’s length should be less than 200mm. As an example, my first rocket’s length was about 170mm. And launchpad is a must. Because your rocket needs any support when it ready to launch. But you can use something else as your launchpad. We”ll discuss more it from another article.
Let’s manage the cost and time
If you like you can launch test flights before the main flight. From this step, you can improve your experience. But this is not very important. Make sure to manage your cost as you can. By following steps you can manage your cost very easily.
1)Minimize number of flights as you can (then you can use only one test flight)
2)Use good metarials which are inexpensive.
3)If you’re a Sri lankan, you can make rocket engines as you can.(youtube videos will give you a support)
Time will be very important thing when you’re doing this operation. The best way to manage your time, do this as your leisure time activity or do this during your holidays.
