Fresh off the triumphs of starring in Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’, reprising her role as Tara Carpenter in ‘Scream VI’, and with an upcoming hosting gig on ‘Saturday Night Live’, Jenna Ortega is renowned for her candid, understated humor.

During her appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’, Ortega opened up to host Jimmy Fallon about her recent performances, attending award shows, and what’s next for the beloved character of Wednesday Addams in Season 2. With a grin, she shared, “I believe we should increase the horror element a bit, remove Wednesday from any romantic entanglements and allow her to be an independent fighter against crime.”

Ortega had previously expressed her heartfelt views on the ‘Wednesday’ script during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast. She disclosed that she was protective of the character and that some of the plotlines did not sit well with her, specifically the love triangle. “It didn’t make sense,” she told Shepard.

Additionally, Ortega talked to Fallon about her experiences at the recent SAG Awards, sharing anecdotes about working with Aubrey Plaza and feeling jittery when meeting Paul Mescal. “I couldn’t even make eye contact with him,” she revealed.
