Actor Shraddha Kapoor, who made her acting debut with Teen Patti (2010) is in news, not just for bagging some important projects with Yash Raj banner but also for her recent link-up rumours. The buzz is that Shakti Kapoor’s daughter is in a relationship with Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor.
The actor, who walked the ramp for the first time in recently concluded Delhi Couture Week, for designer Anju Modi, however, was in a denial mode. “I don’t want to talk about my personal life. Ranbir is a fantastic guy. I don’t know from where these rumours have come up. I am not dating him,” she says.
Apparently, Ranbir has also asked his close friend director Ayan Mukherjee, to cast Shraddha in his coming project. Shraddha, however rebuffs the rumour, “Ayan (Mukherjee) is my good friend. If he comes up with anything interesting, I would love to be part of it.” But Ranbir tops her wish list of actors’ she would want to work with, “I would love to work with Ranbir (Kapoor), Imran (Khan) and Hrithik (Roshan).
The actor further says that she is not wary of rumours and controversies, “They are part and parcel of our lives. We have to deal with it, there’s no escape.” Shraddha also consults her father when it comes to making film decisions. “I do consult him about my upcoming projects. But at the end, decision is mine,” she adds. The self-proclaimed Priyanka Chopra’s fan, says, “I’m not jealous of anyone in the industry. Infact, I admire the way PC conducts herself and the roles she essays.”
How did the rumours of the two dating surface?
Gossip mills were abuzz in early June this year that after a string of affairs, Ranbir Kapoor has moved on to Shraddha Kapoor. A source close to RK revealed that he has been spending a lot of time with Shraddha. He even had set her picture as his phone’s wallpaper and is also asking Ayaan Mukerji to cast her in his next film.
